ProMedica Health System Mobile Executive Director - Memory Care in Toledo, Ohio

Responsible for the day to day management and operation of the Assisted Living community.

All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise Mobile Executive Director Responsibilities

  1. Evaluates and proposes new programs, systems and projects designed to enhance the quality of life for the center residents.

  2. Monitors Assisted Living community environmental quality assuring a continuing standard of excellence and compliance with licensure regulations.

  3. Provides oversight to the handling of major resident concerns/problems as these are presented by residents, family members and employees. Responsible for management oversight or ensuring management oversight of operation 24 hours a day.

  4. Develops and implements needed policies and procedures pertaining to the operation of the

Assisted Living community, maintaining and updating procedures as necessary.

  1. Provides backup to the Marketing Director for telephone inquiries and conducts center tours for walk-in visitors during the Marketing Director’s absence from the community.

  2. Institutes organizational structure and communications systems which include all levels of staff to promote effective care delivery.

  3. Makes daily rounds to ensure resident care needs are met and staff performance is within accepted practice standards; Monitors and evaluates service area programs and related services rendered to ensure quality of resident care.

  4. Assists RDO/DVP in development of annual operating plan, operating budget and capital budget.

  5. Executed operating plans and budgets in accordance with Company guidelines.

  6. Participates in budget planning, prepares and submits monthly variance/operating report to RDO.

  7. Monitors performance against budget and takes appropriate action to insure overall budgetary compliance and profitability.

  8. Insures proper adherence to and timely submission of all fiscal documentation.

  9. Insures proper application of accepted accounting procedures and corporate accounting policies and procedure.

  10. Provides support and input to Marketing Director/Business Development Specialist on possible move-ins to determine the center’s ability to meet the Resident’s needs and ensure availability of adequate supplies and equipment.

  11. Coordinates programs and services with service areas.

  12. Oversees the service delivery process ensuring that family/residents’ expectations and needs are met.

  13. Meets with prospective resident and family prior to move-in, tours resident/family through building.

  14. Conducts resident assessment and other related move-in documentation and maintains internal tracking systems.

  15. Prepares, negotiates, and orients responsible party (family) to service plan, rental agreement, and negotiated risk agreement.

  16. Updates assessment, service plans, rental agreement, and negotiated risk agreement in accordance with established standards.

  17. Tracks utilization of services and staffing patterns to provide services.

  18. Ensures a smooth move-in of all residents into the community.

  19. Orients all residents and families to building (i.e., physical environment, staff, other residents, services, other resources, rules, policies, and procedures).

  20. Plans for and coordinates the resident’s move-out from the community.

  21. Involves the responsible party (family) in move-out planning and keeps them informed of all steps on a timely basis.

  22. Coordinates resident care with Medical and attending physicians.

  23. Plans for, encourages participation in, and conducts a monthly Family Support Group.

  24. Coordinates involvement in community projects and educational and other programs.

  25. Ensures communication of resident care concerns/issues with Medical Director, Attending Physician, family, and service area personnel, as needed.

  26. Assures Compliance with policies on safety rules, safety discipline, etc.

  27. Investigates all reported injuries/accidents within 24 hours of occurrence.

  28. Monitors injured employee health status on at least a weekly basis. Monitors work related injury medical records and bills.

  29. Coordinates return to work by identifying potential job accommodation opportunities.

  30. Identifies preferred providers for employee injuries and facilitates communication between health care providers and ProMedica.
